Experienced Attorneys
The attorneys at Miller Malone & Tellefson all have extensive regulatory and governmental experience from serving in Washington State government. We understand how to work with government agencies at the national, state and local levels.
Frank Miller began his legal career in the Washington Attorney General's office before being assigned to the Gambling Commission. He eventually rose to become Director of the Washington State Gambling Commission where, among other accomplishments, he negotiated 19 tribal-state Class III gambling compacts. In these roles and in private practice, he has more than 25 years experience in gaming and governmental law.
David Malone served at the Washington Attorney General's office for five years where he focused on environmental issues. He represented the Department of Natural Resources and the State Parks and Recreation Commission in numerous legal and regulatory matters. He joined the firm in 1999 and practices in the areas of gaming law, administrative law, and government relations.
Carrie Tellefson spent 14 years in various roles in state government. These included service as Senior Counsel to the Washington State House of Representatives, Financial Institutions and Insurance Committee, Deputy Commissioner in the Office of the Insurance Commissioner, Assistant Director with the Department of Information Services, and the Director of Policy and Planning with the Washington State Gambling Commission. She focuses on government relations for the firm's corporate and trade association clients.
