Ally Magnano has spent the last eight years in the public relations and marketing field.  A Suma Cum Laude graduate from the University of Washington, Ally began her career in non-profit work, directing public relations for Seafair, Seattle's 60-year old summer festival and one of the top 10 largest events in the country. During that time, Ally worked closely with state and city officials to promote over 30 community events throughout the greater Seattle area, managed a volunteer base of more than 5,000 supporters, and worked with the local CBS affiliate on their live broadcasts for the annual Torchlight Parade, hydroplane race, and air show. These broadcasts reached a combined total of more than 5-million viewers annually.

In 2007, Ally joined Precept Wine Brands, Washington's largest privately owned Wine Company, as its Public Relations Manager. At Precept, Ally was responsible for building the pubic relations department from the ground up by developing all national media relations and brand development (over 30 brands) as well as managing advertising, web strategy and internal communications. She also served as Precept's community and government affairs liaison within the wine industry.
Some of Ally's greatest accomplishments at Precept Wine Brands include:

  • Three separate product endorsements on the NBC TODAY Show. Each segment garnered 16-million television viewers and was rated a $75,000 promotional value. In addition, Ally secured numerous press endorsements with all major wine trade and consumer publications including: REAL SIMPLE, Food & Wine and Better Homes & Gardens to name a few (each with a readership of 10-million+).
  • Managing a 1-million dollar Northwest advertising campaign (both concept and design) for Waterbrook Winery that encompassed all major media outlets including: television, radio, print and online. Through this campaign, Ally conducted more than 20 radio and television interviews including a guest appearance on Seattle's own Evening Magazine.
  • Serving as a-three year board member for the Auction of Washington Wines annual event that raised a record 2-million dollars for Seattle's own Children's Hospital in 2009.

During her time in both the non-profit and for-profit communities, Ally has built solid relationships based on trust, credibility, and performance. Her public relations, event planning, and strategic marketing background add tremendous value to the MMT team. Since joining Miller, Malone & Tellefson, Ally has put her skills to the test in planning and overseeing, on behalf of MMT clients, numerous legislator campaign events, “day on the hill” events, and legislator dinners, auctions, and other political events. Her strategic communications, skilled writing, and creative presentation skills help position MMT clients for success in Olympia.
